

Mrs. Charlotte Betts passed away Wednesday, January 18th 2017 at the Presbyterian Hospital in Plano, Texas. She was born January 30th, 1928 in Konigsbrunn, Germany, the daughter of George and Kreszentz Keller.
Mrs. Betts worked at Siemens in Germany for the early years of her life, until she met and married. She was united in marriage to George Eugene Betts, Jr in Augsburg Germany for 45 blissful years, until his passing April 15, 2005.
She devoted her life to her family and stood by her husband’s side supporting him through 22 years of military service. She loved her children and grandchildren, and was so proud of all their accomplishments. She also loved working in the yard and always had flowers. She was a caring and happy person and loved being around people. She was a devout Christian and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Killeen. Her Christian life was as beautiful as the flowers she loved so well, and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Maja Baum and a brother George Keller.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Carmen (Rick) Makowski of Oviedo, FL, Brenda (Ron) Snyder of El Paso, TX, Elizabeth (Raymond) Garcia, and George Betts III of Killeen, TX; grandchildren; Ryan, Kalie, Kyle Makowski, Derek Snyder, and Ariel Garcia; great-grandson, Nicholas Makowski; sister, Katherina Beshirs; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, January 23, 2017 with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Killeen City Cemetery. Please visit www.crawfordbowersfuneralhome.com for online tributes.
