

Cheleste Nicole Smith was born on February 4, 1985, in Killeen, Texas, to Veronica Jennings Avant. She attended schools within the Killeen Independent School District and graduated from Killeen High School in 2003.
Cheleste was a woman of extraordinary love, compassion, and devotion. She dedicated her life to her family and was a source of unwavering support, strength, and encouragement to all who knew her. Her warm smile, kind heart, and generous spirit touched countless lives, leaving an enduring impact on everyone blessed to know her.
Above all, Cheleste cherished her role as a wife and mother. She and her husband, Julius (Antwan) Smith, built a life centered on love, faith, and family. Together, they shared many cherished memories while raising their children. Whether attending her children's sporting events and school activities, spending time with loved ones, hosting sleepovers for her nieces, or simply checking in on family and friends, Cheleste always made others feel loved and valued. She found joy in sports, cooking, family game nights, and creating special moments that brought happiness to those around her.
Though her earthly journey has come to an end, the legacy she leaves behind will continue to live on through the countless lives she touched. Her example of love, kindness, faith, and selfless devotion to family will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
As we celebrate Cheleste's life, we find comfort in the memories she created and the love she shared so freely. While her presence will be deeply missed, her spirit will continue to live on through her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Cheleste was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Veronica Jennings Avant.
She is survived by her husband, Julius Smith; her children, Eunisha Felton, Jayce Smith, Journi Smith, and Janai Smith; her brothers, Antonio Jennings (Sa'Toya) and Jerry Jennings (Brittany); her sister, Juquana Wilson; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Though she is no longer with us in body, her love, laughter, and legacy will remain with us always.
