Cleo King Ashley

Mrs. Ashley died April 8, 2013 at her home in Killeen. She was born May 13, 1918 in Haskell County, TX, to Theodore and Jewel Perdue.

She married Elgin Ashley on September 2, 1967, and they enjoyed 32 wonderful years together. She worked for Sears for approximately 25 years.

Mrs. Ashley was preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life, Elgin Ashley; her parents; and grandson, Neal Denno.

She is survived by her children Patricia (Richard) Denno of Newton, KS; Wanda Metzger of Stockbridge, GA; D. J. Stauth of Dallas, GA and David (Maggie) Stauth of Vienna, VA; grandchildren, Alan Denno, Traci Mitchell, Michael and Timothy Stauth, and Gianna and Elijah Stauth; numerous great and great- great- grandchildren; brother, Theodore Paul “Curly” Perdue of Sulphur, LA; sister Patsy (Leonard) Tanner of El Paso, TX; sister-in-law Mary Evans of Tyler, TX; and Phil and Casey Moore of Killeen.

Memorials may be made to Memorial Baptist Church Building Fund in Killeen.

Visitation will be 6-8pm Wednesday April 10, 2013 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen, which is in charge of the arrangements.
