Connie was born in Noble, Illinois to George and Nellie (Tracy) Long.
She married Kenneth Martin on March 31, 1951 at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri.
Connie was preceded in death by her husband in March 2010 and her parents and a brother, Bud Long.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Butch Martin of Nolanville and a daughter, Kim (Willie Taylor) Gilmer of Gatesville; a sister, Joan Brandt; grandchildren: Taylor Gilmer (Mike Untied), Megan Martin, Rachel (Kevin) York, Lauren (Kyle) Simpson, Hunter Martin and 15 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Connie will be held Monday, August 12, 2024 from 6: to 8 pm at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home, 1615 South Fort Hood Road, Killeen, TX 765421654. The funeral service is Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at 11:00 am at Crawford Bowers, with burial to follow on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 11463 TX-195, Killeen, TX 76542.
Serving as pallbearers are Hunter Martin, Riley Martin, Hunter Simpson, Kyle Simpson, Mike Untied and Sammy Caldwell.
