Dallas Tyrone Long

On June 17, 1958, Julia Mae Long and the late Dallas Ashley Long were blessed with a son Dallas Tyrone Long. His life ended quietly at 12:35 a.m. on October 28, 2012, when the joyful messenger of peace silenced his lips. His soul winged his flight from this world of sin, sorrow, and pain to a place of eternal rest.

At an early age he joined the United States Army, where he proudly served and retired as a Master Sergeant (E-8), after 21 years of service. At the time of his passing, he had been employed with General Dynamics for the last 12yrs.

He is survived by one son, Julian Nathaniel Long of Killeen, and one daughter, Salena Gale Long of Killeen; the mother of his children, April Alexander-Long of Killeen; Sisters Sharon R. Long and Betty-Jo Long both of Montgomery, Alabama; Three Brothers, Elvis (Valerie) Pettaway, of Millbrook, AL. Emerson Ashley Long, Warren Arthur Long both of Montgomery, Alabama. He was an uncle of six and a great uncle of two Special Friends, Jerome Haywood of Montgomery, Alabama, Robert Hollaway, of Columbus, Georgia, Sally Brundidge of Montgomery, Alabama and numerous cousin and friends from Montgomery, Millbrook, Prattville, Sand town, Elmore County, Tuscaloosa, and various areas of Alabama as well as Killeen, TX.
