She was born June 26, 1949, in Jesup, Georgia to Horace and Alice Smith.
Darlene graduated from Glynn Academy High School and then began her career in Computer Key Card Pay Input Specialist for the United States Army as a secretary.
Darlene married Ernest Wolfe on June 15, 1976, together they had four children.
As a member of a square dance team, she had a passion for square dancing and Blue Grass music and will always be remembered for her horseback riding.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a daughter, Karen D. Frank, as well as brothers Roy, Robert, James, and Richard Hoag, and a sister, Dolores Griffin.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Ernest D. Wolfe, a daughter, Kerri A. King (Stanley), two sons, Michael H. King (Holly) and Frank D. King (Jennifer); sisters, Donna Brown and Dorothy Latham, twelve grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
