David Earl Wallace

David Earl Wallace left this life on Sunday, July 6, 2014 in Killeen, Texas. He was born on November 1, 1957 in Boston, MA to Walter and Eugenie Wallace.

David joined the US Army and served his Country proudly for over 20 years. David married his best friend Laura Smith on November 14, 1983. This past November the couple celebrated their 30 year wedding anniversary with a marriage vow renewal celebration.

He was known as someone who was “Bigger than Life.” He was the one person that everyone looked to for a great laugh at all times. David would make a joke of any situation. He cut his finger off and joked of this situation every chance he could.

David was preceded in death by his father, Walter Wallace.

He will be forever missed by his loving wife, Laura Wallace of Killeen, TX.

David will leave to cherish his many memories the couple’s three children; Kevin Wallace of Killeen, TX, Brian Wallace and his wife Karina of Little Elm, TX and Sarah Wallace Cortez and her husband Jose of Cleburne, TX, and seven beautiful grandchildren.

Survivors also include his mother, Eugenie Lloyd of Bertram, TX , sisters; Heidi May of Bella Vista, AR, Barbara Smith of Bertram, TX, Brenda Brown and her husband Odie of Bertram, TX, one brother, Dennis Wallace and his wife Lisa of Joshua, TX, his in-laws Everett and Virginia “Ginny” Smith of Abilene, TX and several wonderful nieces and nephews.

The Wallace family will receive guests for a time of visitation Thursday, July 10, 2014 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home of Killeen. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home of Killeen. A graveside service will be held at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery on Friday, July 11, 2014 at 2:00 PM with full Military honors.
