Funeral services for Deborah “Debbie” Cave, 61, of Killeen will be Friday, July 17, 2020 at 2PM, at the Maxdale Cowboy Church. Debbie passed away on July 9, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Debbie was born October 6, 1958 in Killeen to Gene and Jo Ruth Skinner. She married Carmon W. “Bill” Cave on July 12, 1975 and has lived in Killeen all of her life. She is a graduate of Killeen High School, and Austin Massage Therapy School. She worked as the lead instructor in the Killeen Branch as well as other campuses throughout Texas. She also worked for First National Bank and Union State bank as a processor. She attended Maxdale Cowboy Church and was a member of the Southwest Bell County Volunteer Fire Department.
She was precede in death by father Gene Skinner, her step father Lonnie Skaggs, Isaac Biddy, one great grandson and a great niece.
Debbie is survived by her husband Bill after 45 years of marriage, her 3 children Christina & Jeremy Roberts, Carmon W. “Billy” Jr. and Joy Cave, Christopher Cave all of Killeen, and one adopted son Christopher Castillo of Georgetown; 11 grandchildren and one great grandson. Also surviving are her mother Jo Ruth Biddy of Harker Heights, brother Gene Jr and Raygena Skinner of Killeen, sister Tina and Larry Steeman of Haxton CO, and Terecia and Bobby King of Gun Barrel, Texas, her sister in law Beverly and Max Hebert of Cedar Park, Texas, 11 nieces and nephews, 20 great nieces and nephews and 5 great- great nieces and nephews.
Debbie was loved and cherished by many, and was also known as Mom, Nana or Aunt Debbie to many others through our extended family and friends You could normally find Debbie with a smile on her face, even though her battle with cancer. She truly loved spending time with her family and friends, attending almost every event she was invited to or hosting the events to bring everyone together. She was everyones biggest cheerleader, didn’t matter if it was a sporting event, and/or band/choir concert. She would let you know she was there with either her whistle or cow bell. Through all of her ups and downs with her battle with cancer, Debbie never lost her faith to Our Lord.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 16, 2020 from 5-9 PM at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home.
