"Debbie" passed peacefully at home in Killeen, TX surrounded by her family after a 3-year battle with cancer on August 6, 2013.
Survived by her husband of 39 years, James R. Plotts, Sr. of Killeen, TX, formerly of Newton, NJ; twin sons, James R. Plotts, Jr. and his wife, Faleula, of Killeen, TX and Daryl W. Plotts of Killeen, TX, formerly of Edison, NJ; her mother, Eileen Lovegrove (Sinn), and her husband, Charles, of Gulf Breeze, FL; her father, Robert C. Pridgen, and his wife, Carol, of Cape Coral, FL; brothers, Robert J. Pridgen and his wife, Gayle, of Stanhope, NJ; and J. Randee Pridgen and his wife, Mia, of Medford, NJ. Predeceased by grandaughter, Madison Marie Plotts, and grandparents, Edward and Hilda Sinn; and Willie and Tempe Pridgen. Also survived by four grandchildren; six nieces and nephews; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Born on March 1, 1955 in Dover, NJ, Debbie grew up in the Berkshire Valley section of Roxbury Township. She attended Roxbury Township school system having graduated from Roxbury High School in 1973. Debbie prided herself in her career as a bus driver that spanned nearly 35 years. Debbie retired in 2011 from Randolph Board of Education after 16 years of proudly driving Bus No. 94. Debbie was hard working, dependable and a dedicated employee. In addition to driving her school bus, she served as second hand to owners of two catering companies. She had many friends and enjoyed annual visits to Cape May with her gal pals. Always up for a trip, Debbie enjoyed spending time with family in different states and loved to shop. She was a member and officer of Northwest Jersey Mothers of Multiples for over 30 years.
There will be a memorial service at First Memorial Presbyterian Church, 51 West Blackwell Street, Dover, NJ at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2013. Burial will be private. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Carol G. Simon Cancer Center; First Memorial Presbyterian Church, Dover, NJ; or Hospice of Bell County Texas.
