Donna Faye Delano

She was born November 9th, 1941, in Killeen to Hugo and Ira Springman. Donna graduated from Killeen High School in 1960. She married her high school sweetheart, James Delano, on August 14th, 1959 in Killeen. They were each other’s life-long companions for 65 years, and were blessed with two children: Terry and Venetia.

Donna joyfully devoted her life to being a homemaker, wife, and mother. Her purpose was found in serving her family, and sharing time and laughter with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She was a longtime member of Charis Church (Grace Christian Center). Donna will be remembered by her family for her vibrant smile, cheerful personality, and unshakeable faith in Jesus.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents, Hugo and Ira, and siblings, Lela, Grace, Marie, Wilford, and Hugo Jr.

She is survived by her husband, James; two children, Terry (Sheryl) and Venetia; five grandchildren James Borja, Taryn Lord, Travis McCarver, Whitney Pineda, and Tanner Delano; and her six great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Tuesday, February 4th at 10 a.m. at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home, 1615 S. Fort Hood St, Killeen, TX. Burial will follow at Killeen City Cemetery.
