

.Donna Ruth (Hosick) Jean passed away peacefully on Friday, February 26, 2021 at Advent Hospital in Killeen, TX. Donna was born September 3, 1949 to the late Gerald & Alice “Vivian” (Moss) Hosick in Evansville, IN.
She graduated from Killeen High School in 1967 and married her best friend, Phillip “Randy” Jean, on January 4, 1969 in Seaside, CA. After dedicating her life to raising her children, and following her love for all of God’s children, she became an aide then a teacher at Grace Lutheran School late in life until her retirement in 2017.
Surviving Donna is her loving husband of 52 years, Phillip R. Jean, her daughters Deborah Jean & Alice (Michael) Loyd of Killeen, TX, her son Thomas (Franc) Jean of Westchester, IL, and Leah (Doel) Albino of Killeen, TX, brothers David (Jane) Hosick and Sam (Brenda) Hosick, her sister Carol (Ludovic) Harmon, and many nieces, nephews, family & friends. She is also survived by the joys of her life, her grandchildren – Mallory, Shelby, Sierra, Anthony, Adam, Blaze, and Savanna as well as her great-grandchildren – Owen, Mason, Kylie, and Willow Ruth.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents, Gerald & Alice Hosick, her brother Stephen, and in-laws, Sandy (Luther) Miller & Phyllis (Tom) Seely. Donna’s children would like to extend a special thank you to Advent-Metroplex Hospital doctors, nurses, and staff for the excellent care the provided, especially to Nurse CoCo – We will forever be indebted for what you did for both of our parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Grace Lutheran Church in Killeen, TX at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial donations be made to a local Children’s organization or St. Jude Hospital.
