Donneal Riggs

Funeral services for Donneal Riggs, 52, of Killeen, will be at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, July 30, 2010 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen. Burial, with full military honors, will follow at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.

Mr. Riggs died July 22, 2010, in Killeen. He was born August 28, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois.

Mr. Riggs retired from the U.S. Army after 22 years of service in 2000. While serving his country he received the following military awards: Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct, National Defense Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal w/ 3 Bronze Service Stars, Non Commissioned Officer’s Professional Develop Ribbon w/ Numeral 2, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Ribbon, Liberation Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medal, and the Marksman Marksmanship Qualification Badge w/ Rifle Bar.

He is preceded in death by his father, Deoise Butler; a brother, Edward Riggs; and a sister, Gwen Butler.

Survivors include his wife, Regina Riggs; a daughter, Latasha Riggs; mother, Virginia Riggs; brothers, Lioneal Riggs, Ricky Riggs, Ronnie Rigs, Leon Baily, Melvin Riggs, Louis Butler, and Avery Butler; sisters, Roshell Riggs and Michelle Butler; and 2 grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at the funeral home in Killeen.
