Dorothy Jane Pringle Rathmell

Mrs. Rathmell grew up in Brownsville, PA. where she attended school and Douglas Business School for Accounting. She married her soul mate Lloyd Stanley Rathmell in Brownsville, PA. They moved to Mentor,Ohio where she worked with the Mentor Ohio school system.

She loved doing volunteer work with the Girl Scouts and within her community.

Lloyd and Dorothy welcomed a beautiful baby girl into their lives. Becoming a mother and raising a daughter was a great joy for Dorothy.

Later in life the Rathmell’s made the move to Killeen, Texas to be near family.

She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt.

She is preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Stanley Rathmell, Her mother Mary Helen Pringle, Her father Howard Crawford Pringle Sr. and her brother Howard Crawford Pringle Jr.

Survivors are her sister Thelma Pringle Rose, daughter Linda Sue Rathmell Knotts and her husband Adrian K. Knotts of Killeen, Texas, and granddaughters Jennifer Lea Knotts Linn and her husband Albert Carl Linn III of Georgetown, Texas, and Crystal Ann Knotts of Brenham, Texas.

A Viewing will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 16, 2015 at 1:30 pm in the chapel of Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home with Pastor David Leach officiating. Interment service will follow in the Central Texas Veterans Cemetery.
