Edna Ryan

Edna Marie Schumann was born in Harrold, Texas on November 8, 1919 to Charlie and Mary Schumann. She was one of 10 children. Edna was preceded in death by her parents, five siblings and her son-in-law Jimmy Williams.

Edna married Herbert Reinisch on February 19, 1939. Herbert and Edna spent many happy years living in Vernon, Texas where they had three children. Herbert preceded her in death in 1972.

Edna continued to live in Vernon, where she married Jerry Ryan in 1977. They lived in Indiahoma, Oklahoma and Montgomery, Texas where they spent lots of enjoyable time fishing. Jerry preceded her in death in 1984. Edna moved back to Vernon, Texas where she spent lots of time with her family and friends. Edna was a long-time member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Vernon, Texas.

Edna’s love for her family and her faith in God were evident in all who knew and loved her. She shared this love with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her children Linda Reinisch Williams of Harker Heights, Texas; Leon Reinisch and his wife Betsy of Austin, Texas; and Lawanda Reinisch Hardage and her husband Charles of Killeen, Texas.

She is also survived by grandchildren Michael Williams and Chris Arnold of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, David and Sue Williams of Harker Heights, Texas, Leslie and John Gilmore of Harker Heights, Texas, Jud and Delisa Hardage of Wylie, Texas and great grandchildren Max Williams, Sarah Williams, Allyson Gilmore, JT Gilmore, Zack McClary, Katy Gilmore, Ethan Gilmore and Abby Hardage.

She is also survived by 4 brothers and numerous nieces and nephews.
