Edner Junior Seme was born April 5th 1986. He was born to Edner Seme, and Marie Nicole Moca (has passed, dating July 15th, 1988). He was survived by his wife, Tiesha Seme, and his children, Leilani N. Seme (10 year old girl) and Edren J. Seme (8 year old boy). Along with his step-mother Andremise Seme, and Godparent, Servera Moca, Andremene Moca, Marie Therese, and Andremise Seme. He was also predeceased by Edner’s Godparent Jean Marcel Seme, and Sisters, Ketisia Souverain (and family), Stacy Seme (and family), Marie Geurda Seme (and family). Edner’s loving brothers, Jimmy Seme, and Jonny Seme. Edner has also survived by countless aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends to mourn his loss
Edner was born in Port-au-prince, Haiti, and raised in Statesville NC. His hobbies were playing football and basketball. After the passing of his loving mother, Edner lived with his step-mother, and father and families for about two years. He later went to live with his paternal grandmother Andremise Seme in Haiti. Finally, Edner migrated to the United States. Edner has began his education in Haiti, attending Notre Dame de Sacre Coeur school. He had his 1st Communion in May of 1996 in Carrefour, Haiti at St. Charles Catholic Church. At 11 years old, Edner came to the United States to reside with his father and other siblings, while living in North Carolina. He has successfully graduated from Statesville High school in 2003. He then attended Marietta College in Georgia. His major study was in Criminal Justice, with a minor in business. He later left to go leave with his older sister in Miami, Florida. Edner worked at West Point Military Academy, in upstate New York, along with various other jobs. One quote Edner lived by was,” I am a soldier, that’s all that I feel that I am good at.” He was a man of many trades.He was a major supporter, and showed endless counts of loyalty, love and support.
Edner entered the United States Army March 15th, 2007, and completed Basic Combat Training at Fort Jackson, SC in May of 2007. He attended Advanced Individual Training at Fort Lee, VA for MOS 92S Shower Laundry Specialist. SPC Seme later reenlisted to become a 92F Petroleum Supply Specialist.
Upon completing Advanced Individual Training he was assigned to 549th QM CO out of Fort Carson CO which he later deployed with in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 07-09.
His assignments included 43rd STB 549th QM, Fort Carson, CO 1-30th INF BN Taji Iraq 6/8th Cavalry Division Falcon, Iraq 590th QM Baghdad, Iraq 1st CAV 4th BDE 27th BSB Fort Hood, Texas.
Edner’s awards and decorations include the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, the Iraqi Campaign Medal, the National Defense Service Ribbon, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Overseas Ribbon, and the Army Service Ribbon.
SGT Seme had many goals to develop his military proficiency, and to better himself as a whole. He was enrolled in CTC working on his bachelor’s degree in general studies. His short term goal was to win the promotion board. His long term goal was to make Sergeant Major of the Army. He is loved by all and will be greatly missed by many.
