Edward Kenneth Assel Jr.

A memorial service to celebrate Edd’s life will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at the Killeen Bowlerama, 922 N. 38th St., Killeen, TX.

He was born September 19, 1953 in Ft. Knox, Kentucky and passed away August 16, 2016 Killeen, Texas

Our beloved son, brother, father, uncle and friend left to be with his Lord on August 16, 2016.

He is preceded in death by his father Edward K. Assel Sr. and his wife of 15 years Jacqui J. Assel.

He is survived by his mother Adna F. Assel, his sister Joyce (Wayne) Van Cleve, his daughter Meagan (Karl) Hoffmann, his nephew Christopher (Shannon) Van Cleve, and his niece Shannon (John) Catt. He is also survived by his very good friends Scott and Donna Huddleston.

Edd was born in Ft Knox, Kentucky where his father was stationed in the Army. The Army relocated the family to Las Cruces, New Mexico where he spent his school years. He graduated from Las Cruces High School in 1971. He joined the Army in 1972 and was stationed at Fort Hood. Edd has made Killeen his home for the last 44 years. After his discharge he spent his working years in various finance positions. Edd’s passions in life were the Church, bowling, and golf.
