Edward Barfield, 83, of Killeen, TX passed away April 30, 2015 in Harker Heights, Texas. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00pm Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home, Killeen, TX. Funeral services will be at 9:00am on Friday, May 8, 2015 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home Chapel, Killeen, TX. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Nolanville, TX. He was born on to Luther and Tessie Barfield. Edward grew up in Abilene, Texas. Edward was an active child who took part in training and riding horses. In his spare time he liked horse back riding and the rodeo. He retired as Master Sergeant from the U.S. Army after serving 26 years. Edward was an active member of the Texas Volunteer Militia, Christian Summer Camp, Jail Ministry, Killeen PD Citizens Police Academy alumni and Red River Fighters. Edward is survived by his son, Danny Barfield and wife Margaret Young, daughter, Barbara Harrison and husband Mike Harrison and 5 grandchildren, Delia, Kim, Kristen, Marie and Christopher.
