He is preceded in death by his parents Edward James Windhurst Sr and Mae Lang Windhurst.
He is survived by his wife, Rita Windhurst, his brother Allen, and sisters Debbie, Tricia, Pam and Pat.He is also survived by 6 children, Heather, Heidi, Ginni, Mandy, Eddie and Laura. 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Graveside services with full military honors will be held on December 4, at 11:00 AM at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.
