After immigrating to the United States, Elke lived in Killeen for 58 years, building a life defined by love, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family and community.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Eugene G. Godshall, in 2016.
She is survived by her sons Michael Godshall, Gary Godshall, and David Godshall; daughters-in-law Lois Godshall and Margaret Godshall; and grandson Dylan C. Godshall.
Elke's wishes were that all of her funeral guests adhere to a strict dress code. The family requests that we honor her wishes by only wearing blue jeans!
A Graveside Service will be held at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 11463 State Highway 195, Killeen, Texas 76542, on March 12, 2026, at 11:00 am.
