Ellen Rogers

Ellen Marion Rogers was born on August 9, 1953 in Mainz, Germany to parents Roland and Marianne (Frankenburg) Hoffpauir. She was raised and educated around the world as a " military brat" . She had two brothers, Roland and Greg, and a sister Helga. Ellen was loved by everyone who knew her. She married her husband Marvin "Butch" Rogers Dec 12, 1998. She has a son Bobby Sanders, a stepdaughter, Janet Kilgo, and was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Bobbi Jo.

She worked for many years in housekeeping at Rosewood Living Center in Killeen and for 9 years at the Killeen Independent School District. . She enjoyed fishing, bingo , camping, and her dog Champ, a Pit Bull Border Collie whom she had for 14 years. She was a Baptist. She retired 6 years ago when she became ill. Ellen fought a brave battle and came to know the Lord in her final days and passed away very peacefully on Jan 20, 2016 at The Indian Oaks Living Center in Harker Heights, Texas. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband Butch, her son, Bobby Sanders and his wife Stephanie, daughter Janet Kilgo and her husband Jim; brother Roland and his wife Judy, brother Greg, her sister Helga, her mother Marianne and her beloved dog, Champ. She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren; Coby Litton, Caleigh Kilgo, Breanna, Mariah, and Domini Sanders, numerous nieces and nephews as well as many dear friends who were like family.
