

Beloved mother, sister, and friend Evelynn Lee Thomas, age 77 of Killeen, passed away peacefully November 13, 2021 in Prosper, Tx. She was born July 14, 1944 in Toledo, Ohio. She married her longtime friend and love, Michael Harland Thomas in April of 1963 who preceded her in death in 1994. Also, predeceased were her parents, Gordon and Eleanor (Holden)Stahl; brother Thomas Stahl; and Son-in-Law Robert Fuller.
Evelynn was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Mema. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. She loved to tell a good joke and made friends wherever she went.
Evelynn lived a full life as a devoted wife, wonderful mother and homemaker. She worked many jobs early in her lifetime. She held her last job as manager at Northside Grocery in Killeen, TX. until its closing in 1992. She loved to bake, kept an immaculate house, was an avid crocheter, and enjoyed her pets immensely.
Mrs. Thomas is survived by her daughters, Merrideth Garrett and husband Wayne, Jennifer Watkins and husband Dave, Pamela Fuller, and Michelle Bellamy and husband Doug; grandsons, Kinneth Garrett, Evin Garrett, Cade Bellamy and Dax Bellamy; granddaughters, Skylar Johnson, Marissa Garrett and Devon Bellamy; two great-granddaughters and four great-grandsons. She is also survived by her sisters, Shirley Munoz, and Beverly Bird; and one brother, Jerry Stahl and many nieces and nephews of Ohio.
A Memorial Service will be held at Killeen Cemetery on Friday, December 10 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a private banquet to celebrate Evelynn’s life.
