Frances married the love of her life, Roy “Bo” Jackson on July 11, 1953 in Columbus, TX, with whom she shared a lifetime of devotion, partnership, and pride in the family they built together. The couple eventually made their home in Salado, Texas, where Frances became a cherished member of the community—especially through her years working at Magnolia’s, where she was a familiar, friendly face to so many who walked through the door, and at countless Salado Eagle sporting events where she cheered with pride.
Frances spent her career working as a secretary for Killeen ISD, where her kindness, steady presence, and warm smile touched the lives of countless students, teachers, and families. She was dedicated, dependable, and always willing to lend a helping hand.
A true sports enthusiast, Frances loved watching football, basketball, and golf—especially when her husband Bo was coaching or when her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were on the court, course, or field. She also loved watching college football on TV and was an avid OU fan, never missing a good rivalry game. Supporting her family in their athletic pursuits brought her tremendous joy, and she rarely missed an opportunity to cheer them on. She also found great joy in playing bridge and cherished the lifelong friendships she built around the card table. Frances also had a deep love for fashion, to include lipstick, jewelry, and SHOES; she never left the house without looking perfectly dressed and coordinated.
Outside of sports, Frances found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She loved tending to her yard, and it was a full-time job keeping Bo from cutting her grass too short. And to those who knew her well, it was no secret that she always had a Dr Pepper in her hand.
Frances leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and unwavering support for those she cared about. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
