Fred, as we all called him, was born on July 28, 1949 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was the second child born to Ervin Jackson and Mary Ruth Holmes Jackson who both proceeded him in death. He graduated high school from the Fort Worth ISD. He married Joyce A. Johnson on December 07, 1968 in Howard TX and was faithfully married until his demise. They became parents to 4 lovely children: Frederick Jackson, Jr., {Yevett}, Timothy Jackson, Ginika Jackson-Ruffin {Stanley} and Robert Jackson, Sr. {Erika}, One Brother, Ervin L. Jackson Sr. {Willie}. Grandchildren: Marquis Jackson, Dr. Arburney Jackson, Dr. Jadah Jackson, Ladina Jackson, Alaya Jackson, Robert Jackson, Jr., Stanley Ruffin, Jr., Tajerah Jackson, Dorian Ruffin, Mycal Jackson, Jaylyn Jackson, Alisha Jackson, Jevon Jackson, Jadrien Jackson plus 3 Great Grandchildren. One Maternal Uncle, Clinton Holmes, Jr., One Maternal Aunt, Bobbie Dee Holmes. He has 19 first cousins. MILITARY LIFE Fred spent 22 years 15 days in the United States Army. He enlisted November 1975 and went into Basic Training January 06, 1976 at Fort Leonard Wood, MD. -Proceeding Duty Stations: Mannheim Germany, Stuttgart Germany, Goppingen Germany, Ft. Carson CO, Ft. Polk, LA, Ft. Riley KS, Camp Casey, Korea, Fort Hood TX, Nuremberg Germany, Bamberg Germany, Fort Lewis WA, RETIRED AT FT. HOOD TX. AFTER RETIRING FROM THE ARMY Fred worked briefly as a Dallas County Sherriff. He worked 9 years at Home Depot, then securitas at Chase Bank for 15 years.
