

He leaves behind his wife of 12 years, Rosalina Salas; his sons Deriek Iglesias, Victor Shaun Iglesias, and Jeremy Iglesias; his daughter JoAnna Salas Polk; his sons Frederick Salas Jr. and Stephen Salas. His cousins, nephews, nieces, and grandchildren; and many close friends.
Born and raised on the island of Guam, he was the son of Francisco Santos Salas and Clotilde Fejeran Munoz.
He graduated Class of 1960 at Tumon Jr/Sr High School. He received his HS GED from Guam Department of Education due to being drafted. July 14, 1964 was the beginning of his honorable military career in the United States Army, which he served until April 30, 1985 when he retired.
He also graduated Class of 1977 from Los Angeles City College studying General Education, Russian History, and East Asian studies. He also attended the University of Maryland in College Park from June 1, 1969 to 2015 studying Government & Politics.
He met his wife Rosalina Salas in 1992 and they married on October 21, 2005 at the Bell County Court House in Belton, Texas.
Mr. Frederick Salas worked as the Staff & Finance Director for Guam Delegate Ben Blaz for the US House of Representatives in Washington, District of Columbia. He was also the Quartermaster for Department of Military Affairs Guam Army National Guard.
He was the Consultant to the President for NAVMAR Credit Union Hagatna, Guam.
He prided himself on his professionalism and his military career. Mr. Salas was always aiding and supporting fellow veterans. He was a very loving and giving man. Growing up in his Catholic faith, he instilled it in his family and friends to “do unto others as you would like others to do unto you.”
A viewing will be held on July 9 from 4pm to 6pm at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home and mass will be held at St. Pauls Chong Hasang Catholic Church on July 10 at 11am with burial proceeding.
