My deepest condolences to the family. It was a great honor to have met Mr. Litman and have him teach my son in kindergarten. He was a very sweet man and i am thankful for everything he taught my son. He will be truly missed.

I want to express my sincerest condolences to the family, especially his daughter, Melanie.
I remember Gabe as a kind, loving person who enjoyed teaching the little ones. He was quick to give a smile whenever I saw him around the school. His sense of humor and patience made working with him fun. He will be greatly missed.

Gabe was a WONDERFUL MAN!! I worked with him for 15 years at West Ward, a great teacher, kind and loving. He will be missed. God Bless you all!

 I met Mr. Litman at Oveta Culp Hobby Elementary School (2004). He was a wonderful co-worker,always lending a hand to others and reaching out when they were in need.My prayers for him and his family during this hard time,wishing you comfort and peace.

Gabe and I worked together at West Ward for 10+ years. He was a good person who worked hard and taught me many things about not giving up. He worked so hard to come back after medical issues his first year teaching. I hate to admit this, but I was one of the people who didn’t think he would come back. He did and continued to overcome. I took his lessons on never giving up to heart! Having had set backs this year, I reminded myself that I need to remember how Gabe took everything in stride and continued to move forward. I was lucky to get to work with him and even luckier to be considered one of his friends. I will miss his post and funny comebacks. Rest In Peace dear Friend. You’ve done well!

Gabe and I went to school together when we were working on our teaching degrees, we then got our first jobs together at Westward when we began our careers. He was the nicest, kindest, and most sincere man. He loved his job, and was always loved by his students. I moved away almost 10 years ago but I enjoyed seeing the things he posted on Facebook and the love he had for his children. Prayers for the family during this tough time.

Gabriel was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gilbert Litman. 
Left to cherish his memories are his son, Gabriel Litman III of Austin; his daughter, Melanie Litman of Killeen; sister, Priscilla Litman-Cabrera and husband Miguel of Laredo; brother, Glenn Litman and wife Debra of San Antonio; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
