Services for George Edward Mitchell will be at 10am Tuesday August 2, 2016 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen. Burial will follow at Lakeland Hills Memorial Cemetery in Burnet, Texas. Mr. Mitchell passed away July 25, 2016 in Killeen. He was born April 20, 1927 in Oxford Kansas to Truman and Zana Mitchell. He married Ruby M. Nuss in 1944 at Longmont, Colorado and they had four sons. He was a member of Lifeway Fellowship in Killeen. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruby, son Ron Mitchell of Copperas Cove, parents, brother and one sister. Survivors include sons Lee Mitchell (Vicky) of Harker Heights, Dale Mitchell (Yvonne) of Omaha, Nebraska, and Larry Mitchell (Jeri) of Pratt, Kansas, daughter-in-law Connie Mitchell of Copperas Cove, Texas, brother, Robert Mitchell of Joplin, Missouri, sister, Ida Newton of Edmond, Oklahoma, nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive visitors from 6-8pm Monday August 1, 2016 at the funeral home.
