

Gerald H. Weaver passed away peacefully May 31st, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. A graveside service with full military honors will be held at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen on July 10th at 11:00am.
One of 10 children, Gerald was born to Lucy and Melvin Weaver in Virginia. He graduated high school in 1966 and joined the Army after marrying his childhood sweetheart, Fern, in June of 1968. For the next 57 years, Gerald and Fern toured the world when work, children and health allowed, and they loved each other fiercely.
MSGT Weaver, a Vietnam Veteran, retired from the Army at Fort Hood after twenty years of military service. During his military service, he spent time overseas in Germany, Korea, Vietnam, and stateside tours in Georgia, Virginia, Colorado and Texas. Staying in the Killeen area, he also retired from ManTech at Fort Hood as a government contractor. Mr. Weaver was a lifetime member of both the American Legion and VFW as well as being a member of the Moose Lodge. He was also a Freemason.
Mr. Weaver is lovingly remembered by his wife, Fern, daughter PaigeRickmon and son Gerald Weaver II; granddaughter Adrienne, great grandsons Arick, Logan and Fergus; sisters Patty Allen, Gail Sauro, Kay Adams, Brenda Page and Sheila Burton, and brothers Daniel and Michael Ricketts; and many nieces and nephews. He now joins in peace his sisters Becky and Barbara and his great granddaughter Bellatrix.
