Ms. Richard died Jan. 27, 2013, in Temple. She was born Dec. 30, 1942. She volunteered her services for many years at the Mission Soup Kitchen.
Ms. Richard was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Carl.
Survivors include her only child, Georgy Gardere; three grandchildren, Gerald, Andre and David Gardere; sister, Nicole; brother, George; daughter-in-law, Nicola; and many relatives and friends.
Memorials may be made to the Mission Soup Kitchen in Killeen.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home Chapel in Killeen, which is in charge of arrangements.
