She was born on May 7, 1932 in Mt. Holly, New Jersey to Pellegrino Lucchesi and Gemma Coppi.
Mrs. Careless left her small town of Pine Grove, New Jersey at 21 years of age to join the Woman’s Army Corp in 1953 to see the world…and she did. Throughout her life she had many passions to include; tropical fish aquariums, collector’s sea shells, early American Colonial antiques, raising orchids and endless stray cats and dogs.
She is survived by her son, Mr. Robert X. Careless.
A graveside service with Military Honors will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, Killeen, Texas. Arrangements under the direction of Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home, Killeen, Texas.
