Mrs. Watson died Oct. 2, 2014, in a local nursing home. She was born June 3, 1921, in Bristol, Va., to Paul P. and Nannie Chatman Chapman.
She married Homer Evans Watson in Bristol and was a dedicated wife and homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Warren Watson; siblings, Woodrow Chapman, Estelle Watson, Madeleine Booher and Pauline “Polly” Mitchell.
Survivors include James Watson of Harker Heights, the Rev. Howard Watson of North Carolina, Beulah Mitchell of Temple, Barbara Saunders of Virginia, Vietnam War veteran Robert Watson of Nebraska, Garland Watson of Alaska, Phyllis Markwood of Harker Heights and Beverly Keen of Virginia.
