Ms. Helga Whitehead, age 90 of Killeen, passed away February 1 in Temple. A visitation for Ms. Whitehead is scheduled for Wednesday, February 5 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm with her service beginning at 2:00pm at Crawford-Bowers of Killeen. She will be buried in Killeen City Cemetery.
Ms. Whitehead was born in Fort Sam Houston on July 26, 1922 to Austin Boone and Helga (Hansen) Whitehead. She retired from Civil Service in Washington DC and moved to Killeen where she was active in the American Legion Auxillary Unit #223 and the LaFemme of The Forty & Eight Voiture 1031.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Josephine Levesque.
She is survived by one brother, Austin Whitehead of Killeen.
