He was born October 27, 1943, in Camden, Arkansas, to Henry Morgan Digby and Beatrice Anie Wolf.
Jack proudly served in the United States Army for over 28 years, including service during the Vietnam War, earning numerous commendations for his excellence in service. His dedication to his country was matched only by his devotion to his faith and family. He was a joyful member of Trimmier Baptist Church, where he lived out a strong and steady commitment to God.
Jack was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and a wonderful friend to all who knew him. He will be remembered for the warmth he brought into every room and the example he set through a life of service and faith.
He is survived by his wife, Hye Cha Digby; his sons, Douglas Digby, Jack Edward Digby Jr, Robert Anthony Germann and Daniel Gilhousen; and 9 grandchildren.
Jack will be greatly missed and lovingly celebrated by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A Graveside Service with Full Military Honors will be held at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 11463 TX-195, Killeen, TX 76542, US, on August 12, 2026, at 10:00 am.
