Jacqueline Renee Smith

Jacqueline Renee Smith, (41) passed away on May 7, 2024, at Seton Medical Center, Harker Heights, Texas.

Ms. Smith was born November 22, 1982, El Paso, Texas, to Ralph Jr. and Anita D. Smith. She was preceded in death by her beloved paternal grandparents, Ralph Sr. and Shirley Smith, maternal grandfather George A. Dillard Sr. of Charlottesville, Virginia.

Ms. Smith is survived by her devoted parents Ralph Jr. and Anita Smith of Killeen, Texas, a sister Ashely Smith of Glen Allen, Virginia, daughter Jordyn Lee and son Cannon Tillman, her finance Adalberto Figueroa and his son Luciano Figueroa of Nolanville, Texas, maternal grandmother Dorothy Dillard, Charlottesville, Virginia and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives, and a community of colleagues and friends.

Ms. Smith accepted Christ as a young girl and was baptized at Comanche Chapel, Killeen, Texas. She found comfort in Psalms 92:1-4. She was a graduate of C.E. Ellison High School, class of 2001. She was a licensed cosmetologist, serving clients in Dallas and Killeen, Texas for over 20 years. She received a Bachelor of Arts Sociology in the College of Arts and Sciences from Ashford, University in 2020. She was recently pursuing a Master of Education in Special Education with Educational Diagnostician Certification. She was a third-grade teacher at Pershing Park Elementary School since 2021 and previously taught her first year of third grade at Sugar Loaf Elementary School prior to their closing.

Ms. Smith had a fond love for cats and was nick named “Boo Boo Kitty” by her aunt at an early age. She shared that same love for dogs. She valued family and enjoyed celebrating holidays, traveling, reading her bible, Harry Potter movie series, creating special crafts, shopping, baking with her mother, sister and children on special occasions and enjoyed family vacations in Charlottesville and Richmond, Virginia.

A visitation at Crawford-Bowers, Killeen for Jacqueline will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will occur Thursday, May 23, 2024, at 11:00 AM. An Entombment at Killeen Memorial Park will occur Thursday, May 23, 2024.
