

Graveside services for Jerry Eugene Gibson, 90, of Sulphur Springs, formerly of Killeen, will be Thursday, May 1, 2025 at 2 pm in the Killeen City Cemetery, 2408 E Rancier Ave, Killeen, TX 76543. He passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025 in Sulphur Springs.
He was born July 16, 1934 in Rossburg, Ohio to Taft and Lavera Gibson and graduated from Ansonia High School in 1954 in Ansonia, Ohio.
Jerry retired from the US Army. He later retired from Cablevision of Killeen and later owned the Baker’s Dozen Donut Shop in Harker Heights, and then his final retirement from his job at Walmart in Killeen.
He was preceded by his father, Taft Gibson, his mother, Lavera Gibson-Garland, his wife, Gerda Gibson, sisters, Joann Gibson, Marilyn Shields, a brother, Gary Gibson, sister in law, Anita Gibson, brother in law, Bill Abel and a nephew, Bryan Gibson.
Survivors are his children, Diana Teel and Sherrie Gibson, grandchildren, Daniel Moore, Rena Slagle, Amanda (Mandy) Collins, great grandchildren, Hannah Moore, Cooper Slagle, Grayson Slagle, Carter Collins, Kennedy Collins and a special friend and companion, Moonja (Margie) Garris and family, Debbie, Marsha and Ben.
