

Funeral services for John A. Hamilton, 61, of Harker Heights, will be 2:30 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2011 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home of Killeen. Burial will follow in the Copperas Cove City Cemetery. Rev. Jack Riley will officiate.
Mr. Hamilton passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2011 in a Temple hospital.
John Allen was born April 12, 1950 in Lawton, Oklahoma to John Lee and Martha Louise Ragan Hamilton. He has lived here most of his life and married Dinna Marie Henderson in December of 1994. He owned and operated the Mid-Tex Towing and Recovery since 1987 and was an agent for Penske Truck Rentals for the past 25 years and also worked with the American Lenders Service Company for four years. He loved football, especially the Texas Longhorns and the Dallas Cowboys. In the little spare time he had, he enjoyed fishing and taking small side trips to various destinations.
Mr. Hamilton was preceded in death by his father in 1971 and in December of 2002 a brother, Billy Ray Briscoe.
Survivors include his wife, Dinna M. Hamilton of Harker Heights, two sons, Brian and Shawn Hamilton and a daughter, Melanie Hamilton, all of Dallas; his mother, Martha Louis Bigelow of Belton; two brothers, Robert Briscoe of Huntsville and Darryl Briscoe and wife Vicky of Belton; two sisters, Linda Robinson and husband Rodney of Salado and Sandra Powers and husband Bill of Belton, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A time of visitation will be Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen.
