He would call home: Tuscaloosa, Alabama - Cleveland, Ohio - Ypsilanti, Michigan. He graduated from High School in Michigan and enlisted in the United States Army.
He joined the military in 1983 where he was trained as a communication specialist and a supply technician. His duty stations included Nurenburg and Fuecht Airfield in Germany, Fort Lee, Virginia and Fort Hood, Texas. His deployments included Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
He was honorably discharged in 1995 where he later pursued his love for music. He started out as DJ Will and later evolved into the air personality “The Devestator” at KIIZ. His hobbies included: hosting and photography.
John is survived by his father Agie Lee, his two sisters Jacqueline and Juanita, two daughters Amber and Imaia, an ex-wife Ann, family, friends and many people who loved him.
He will be joining his mother Carrie and his daughter Donnecia.
