John Pat Turland

Mr. Turland was born in Burnet County on August 28, 1956 to Adolphus and Madge Turland.

Pat lived his entire life in Killeen. He is a 1974 graduate of Killeen High School and a member of St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Killeen.

Pat has been in the hotel business for over 40 years. He began his career as a night clerk at the Star Motel in Killeen. He was the manager of the Hallmark Motor Inn for many years, followed by the Hawthorne in Killeen. Pat ended his hotel career in Crystal City Texas, as the manager of the Baymont Inn.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his brother Ace and his wife Deborah of Killeen his sister Ann Cathey and her husband Randy of Temple. He is also survived by nephews Bradley Turland of Killeen and Bryan Cathey of Temple. Nieces Andera Miller of Killeen and Katie Cathey of Temple. Great nephews Bryland and Beau Miller of Killeen and Ace John Turland of Killeen.

The family will receive visitation at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen on Sunday from 6-8 PM with a Rosary at 7 PM.
