

Jorge Luis Seda-Torres, a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and cherished friend, passed away surrounded by love and family. Born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, and raised in Brooklyn, New York and Puerto Rico, Jorge grew up with a deep sense of community and resilience that he carried with him throughout his life.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army for 23 years, retiring with honor. Throughout his distinguished military career, he earned numerous awards, including the Southwest Asia Service Medal and the Kuwait Liberation Medal, a testament to his courage and dedication.
Known for his infectious sense of humor and kind heart, Jorge brought joy to everyone he met. He was a man of deep faith who instilled in his loved ones the importance of compassion, love, and helping others, especially in times of need. His legacy of laughter, kindness, and generosity will live on through those he touched.
Jorge was preceded in death by his parents, Basilio Seda Terron and Ricarda Torres Rodriguez, and his brothers, Robert Seda Rodriguez and Felipe "Pipo" Seda Torres. He is survived by his siblings, Emerito Seda Torres and Diana Seda Rodriguez; his former spouse, Carmen Sanchez-Seda; and his children, Danny Seda, Eli Lopez, Carmen Seda-Iosefo, and Luis Seda.
Jorge's legacy continues through his grandchildren, Catarina Lopez, Logoitino Seda, Alejandro Lopez, Marisol Lopez, Deliana Iosefo, Anubis Seda, Cynthia Seda, and Anthony Seda; his great-grandchildren, Deangelis, Dylan, Jaden, Cyon, and Shuvany; his son-in-laws Brian Lopez and Steve Iosefo; his daughters-in-law Graciela Seda and Analucy Otero-Seda; and his granddaughter-in-law, Xayva Mulunmunji. Jorge also warmly embraced and cherished those who became part of his family.
Jorge Luis Seda-Torres will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his unwavering love, faith, and the laughter he brought into the world.
