Joseph Padullon Malong

Joseph "Jess" Padullon Malong, age 67, loving father of three sons, adoring husband to Mrs. Ofelia Ong Malong and resident of Killeen, Texas passed away in peace on the early morning of Wednesday, 23 February 2022 in his home. Jess was born in 1955 in Olongapo City, Phillipines and grew up surrounded by his large family.

No one who met Jess Malong forgot his infectious smile, friendliness and caring personality, always giving his time to others. In 2004, Jess retired from the U.S. Army where he honorably served this country for 20 years. He enjoyed life by traveling and doing what he loved best and will be deeply missed by his family, friends and those he touched and knew him.

Jess Malong is survived by his wife of 37 years, Ofelia Ong Malong; his sons Carl Jason, Ken and Kyle; his brothers James, Joshua and wife Brenda, Dominador Jr. and wife Perly; and his sisters Elizabeth Luzano and husband John, Juliet, Marilou Oponda and husband Jun, Lyn, Joyce and husband Sonny, and Kathleen Miller and husband Kevin. He is predeceased by his parents Juana and Dominador Malong Sr. and brother Valtazar.

His viewing is scheduled on Tuesday, 8 March 2022 from 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home. Flowers may be offered at this time. Crawford Bowers Funeral Home is located at 1615 S. Fort Hood Street, Killeen, Texas 76542.

Mass service will be held from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at 2903 E. Rancier Ave, Killeen, Texas 76543.
