Joseph Perez

During his career in the Army he received the Legion of Merit Medal, Distinguished Flying Cross, Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal , Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross Unit Citation with Palm, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Master Army Aviator Badge.

After retirement from the Army, he served as a probation officer for Bell County until he retired in 2018.

Joseph was preceded in death by his wife Jeanette Marie Perez

Survivors include daughter, Joey Thompson, son, Jason Perez, grandchildren, Nicholas Rillera, Jyssica Miller, Daniel Perez, and Matthew Perez and great grandchildren, Amaya, Destini and Enzo Miller.
