Joy Luverne Bruggeman Stevens

Services for Joy Luverne Bruggeman Steven 86, of Killeen will be Wednesday at 9 AM at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home Chapel in Killeen. Burial will follow in the Killeen City Cemetery. She passed away on March 19, 2013 in Georgetown.

Mrs. Steven was born October 19, 1926 in Ed Couch, Texas to Arthur and Ethel (Hartman) Bruggeman.

Over the years she has been a Home Maker, Care Giver, and avid quilter and loved to crochet. She participated in Project Linus and was a member of St. Andrews Methodist Church in Killeen. She was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the VFW and was previously a member of the Killeen K-Cops.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ray Stevens, her parents and a sister Ruby Bruggeman Olsen.

Survivors include four children Billy Stevens and wife Florence of Florence, Marilyn Stevens Delp and husband Robert of Florence, Mike Stevens and wife Pat of Houston and Anthony Stevens and wife Heide of Corsicana. Also surviving are her brother Dale Baruggeman and wife Ruth of Harker Heights, 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

A time of visitation will be on March 26, 2013 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
