Mr. Naputi passed away on Friday, July 15, 2010, in a Killeen Hospital. He was born in Talofofo, Guam on July 13, 1942. He served in the U.S. Army assigned to Special Forces in Vietnam. He earned a Bronze Star and was wounded in action receiving the Purple Heart. He served as Vice President of the Special Forces Association Chapter LXXVII. He retired from the military after 23 years of service as well as the U.S. Postal Service in 2009.
He is survived by his children; John Michael Naputi, Pamela Naputi Wix, Amber Naputi Johnson and Jonathan Naputi.
The family requests memorials be made to the Purple Heart Association or the Special Forces Association.
