I am so sorry for your loss.  Your mother and my mother Gertrud Schwalb Banks, were childhood friends in Schotten. In the 90's Tante Tilla, Anna Apfel, visited your mom in Texas. They both came to GA to visit my mother.  You should have seen them!! Like a bunch of schools girls.!! Very fond memories of your mother.  I last spoke to her after my mom passed in 2012.  
We are blessed to be raised by such strong German ladies!. God Bless.

           To know you is to love you. I had the pleasure of meeting you in 2007 when I attended my 1st ABWA meeting. To say that we always had a special relationship is an understatement. You will be truly missed. Thank you for all your shared knowledge, friendship and love over the 17 years that I've known you. This goodbye is very hard, but I know I will see your beautiful face and smile again. Until then, RIP.

I have known this beautiful lady since 2008 when I joined ABWA. She was one of my favorites and the only person authorized to call me by my middle name (Gertrude) lol
She had a plethora of information.  She would always call me for my birthday because we were both born in January. I would get her coffee whenever she needed some. I’m going to miss her dearly. I couldn’t visit her during the Covid pandemic

My heart is truly saddened to learn of Karola’s passing. A wonderful full of life Classy Lady. You will truly be missed.

Karola was well loved by all who were fortunate enough to know her. She was the most faithful member of Globe Chapter of the American Business Women's Association, and a tireless supporter of women in every facet of her life.  Many of us remember her having so much energy well into her later years, and always having great deal of enthusiasm for all that life offered.

My beautiful Karola....  You will always be close to my heart.  I miss you dearly already.  You were my 2nd mother.  I love you very much and will always keep your memory alive.  You are an amazing woman!     Until we meet again, I love you so very much.  

 To Ginny & Carol....  my thoughts & prayers are with you during this time of sorrow.  You were both blessed with an amazing mother who is loved by many.    Thank you for sharing your mother with me.
