Kathaleen Lorraine Welch Glendinning

She was born in Detroit, Michigan but spent the last 29 years of her life in Killeen, TX. She loved country living, her ranch home, the animals she raised and every dog she ever met. Kathy was proudest of the four daughters that she leaves behind as her legacy. Karen Doerbaum of Killeen, TX, Janet O’Brien of Copperas Cove, TX, Susan LaBree of Georgetown, TX and Jennifer Guarnieri of Albuquerque, NM.

Kathy loved to travel and did so often with her loving sister Peggy McAlister of Ballwin, MO. Above all, Kathy’s greatest joy came from loving her 7 grandchildren, Jessica, James, Sarah, Cailey, Laura, Matthew and Jordan and her upcoming grandson, Dante, due October 16th. Although Kathy is physically leaving her family, she will always be a part of them and be looking down from heaven as their guardian angel. Her bright smile, easy laugh, and joyful earthly spirit will be missed by all who knew her.

The family requests that donations be made to Killeen Second Chance Animal Shelter, 5501 Clear Creek Rd., Killeen, TX 76542 in lieu of flowers.

Memorial services for Kathaleen (Kathy) Glendinning are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home Chapel in Killeen. Ed Melton will officiate.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
