Services for Lloyd Eugene Sturgeon Sr., 72, of Killeen will be 9:30am Friday June 24, 2016 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home Chapel in Killeen. He was born Mach 28, 1944 to John Sturgeon and Phyllis Case and passed away June 18, 2016 in Harker Heights. He joined the military in 1961 and served until 1972. He received several medals serving in Vietnam and Nicaragua. While stationed in Germany he met the love of his life in 1962 and they were married in 1965. He was married to his love for 51 years. After serving in the military he was the owner of Bill’s Towing and Storage and L & M trucking. Survivors include wife; Maria Sturgeon, daughter; Tammy Poe and husband Barry of Lampasas, son; Lloyd Sturgeon and wife Shala of Harker Heights, granddaughters; Ashley Airheart and husband Phil of Alvin and Ella Sturgeon, grandson; Kenny Tabler and wife Crystal, great-granddaughters Briley and Paisley Airheart and one sister, Joyce Wilson. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, one sister and one brother. The family will receive visitor from 6-8pm Thursday June 23, 2016 at the funeral home.
