January 1, 1941 – July 13, 2026
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Luis Manuel Dávila, who entered eternal rest on July 13, 2026, at the age of 85, after a courageous battle with cancer. He passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Puerto Rico on January 1, 1941, Luis was the beloved son of Modesto Dávila and Genara Dávila. He was known for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to those he loved.
Luis shared a loving marriage with Nieves Maria Dávila, and together they built a family filled with love and devotion. He was a proud father to his only daughter, Mercedes Dávila, a cherished father-in-law to Boris, and a loving presence in the lives of his stepson, Ramon, and grandchildren, Max, Zachary, and Walter Rey.
Family was the heart of Luis’s life. He treasured his Puerto Rican heritage, the memories he created with loved ones, and the simple joys of life, including his passion for baseball.
Luis leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, loyalty, and strength. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory and the love he shared will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Rest in peace. Your love, your strength, and your example will remain with us always.
