

Mae Sim was born August 20, 1940 to Byung - Don Cho and Sim-Haw Wol Cho in Jindo, South Korea. She came to the United States on February 24, 1972.
Although she lived her later years of life in Fort Worth, Texas, Copperas Cove was always considered as her home. While living in Copperas Cove she was able to bring her mother, brothers, nieces and nephews from Korea to the United States. She opened Cove Oriental Food Store and was part of the Korean-American Community in Central Texas. Mae Sim took the name Cynthia when she was baptised by the Catholic Church. She was involved with the Legion of Mary, visiting and praying for the sick. You could find her spending time with our Precious Lord at the Adoration Chapel. She also enjoyed attending events and dinners for the Knights of Columbus with her late husband Bill.
She will be remembered for her sweet and kind nature, which she showered upon her family.
Mae Sim (Cynthia) was preceded in death by her parents, her three brothers, three sisters and husband of 28 years, William A. Harper.
She is survived by her three daughters Kyong Mark Wardt, Conni Harper and Georgia Lacombe of Fort Worth; and her five grandchildren.
A Visitation and Rosary for Mae Sim will be held Friday, September 22, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home, Killeen, Texas. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 12:00 PM at St Paul's Catholic Church, Harker Heights, Texas. An Interment will occur Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Killeen Memorial Park, Killeen, Texas.
