He graduated from Academy High School in 1992. Manuel married his true love, Rosario Rosas, on January 3, 2004 and worked as a drywall installer for more than 30 years.
Manuel is preceded in death by his loving grandparents, Alejandro and Vicenta Perez, and Jose and Olivia Cruz. Manuel and Chayito were greatly sadden and mourned the loss of one unborn child in June 2006.
Survivors include his beautiful wife of 22 years, Chayito Perez. His parents, Alejandro and Josefina Perez, brothers, Benjamin Perez and Nathaniel Perez, sisters, Elizabeth Perez and Noemi Patton and husband Daniel, nephews and nieces include Marquis Mills, Yasmine Mills, Sophia Patton, Jadon Patton and Xavier Perez, a great niece, Mai’Lei Mills, and his beloved pet and constant companion, Stitch.
Manuel was baptized on August 11, 2001, and continued strong in his faith until the day of his passing. One of many ways he showed his faith was by sharing it with others; such as family, friends and neighbors.
Visitation will be held at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home, 1615 South Fort Hood Road, Killeen, Texas 76542, on July 3, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A Committal Service will follow at Killeen Memorial Park Cemetery, 3516 Lake Rd, Killeen, Texas 76543, on July 6, 2026, at 11:00 am.
