Cove, TX, passed away peacefully at the Burke Health Care Center on December 20,
2018. Margot's final resting place will be with her eternal husband, Abelardo Galumalin
Garrovillo, at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
Margot was born in Berlin, Germany in 1938 to the late Hermann and Frieda Beier.
Margot survived the nightmare of World War II and post war Germany. She was an only
child with an adventurous spirit and she knew early in her life that she wanted to leave
Germany to travel the world. That came true when she met her future husband during a
choir performance for the American Gl's in Berlin in 1958-it was love at first sight.
They were married April Fool's day 1959. She would always brag that she moved 23
times, including local moves before settling down in Texas. They loved to dance and
loved their lifetime friends within the Filipino I Hawaiian Community and the Community
of Central Texas.
Margot had a happy, kind, loving and a generous spirit with a great sense of humor.
She loved spending time with her family. Her eyes lit up at the sight of any family
member and she was quick to introduce them to anyone around. She leaves to cherish
her memory, her loving children, Helene, Jeanie, Alberto and Michael; her adored
grandchildren, Bettina, Anthony, Shaun, Candice, Stephen, and Nina; and her
cherished great-grandchildren, Mekenna, Nolan, Abe (Michael Abelardo) and Jordyn.
Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service and Reception to be held
10:30 a.m., March 15,2019 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home, 1615 South Fort Hood
Road, Killeen, TX 76542.
