Mary Ellen Avritt

She was a devoted wife to the late John Michael Avritt, her husband of 53 years; a proud and loving mother to her four children, John, married to Kelly Avritt; Angela, married to Rusty Signore; Pamela; and Matthew, married to Jessica Avritt; and a loving grandmother to eight wonderful grandchildren, Giovanni, Renee, Joel, Maddalena, Jake, Luke, Kellen, and Grayson, and great-grandmother to Jaxon. She was also a loving and generous friend to many.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mildred Nervie, and her brother, Kenneth Nervie.

Mary Ellen was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church since its founding, where she spent many years serving in the Sunday children's day care. She made many cherished friends over the years at Krahn Elementary, Concordia Lutheran, and St. Anne's School in Tomball.

She loved meeting up with friends, "trust me, you'll love it" recipes, and spending as much time as she could with family.
